We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and move inventory to designated storage areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure smooth warehouse operations and minimize damage to products and equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack merchandise to and from storage locations.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is a plus.
