Job Summary:
Our busy distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts, is looking for an efficient Picker/Packer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your keen attention to detail ensures that our customers receive the correct items in perfect condition. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring speed, accuracy, and a commitment to quality. You will work in a team-oriented environment, contributing to the timely fulfillment of orders. We prioritize safety and provide all necessary training and equipment to perform your duties effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order lists or electronic pick tickets.
  • Verify picked items against order specifications for accuracy.
  • Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
  • Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks as needed to transport items.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors.
  • Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing goals.
  • Support overall logistics and fulfillment processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a strong asset.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and speed.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and understand order forms and item numbers.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
