Job Title: Band 7 RMN – Mental Health Liaison Nurse Location: South St Mary’s Hospital – MHLD Liaison Team, Isle of Wight Contract Type: Agency Placement Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Weekday Day Shifts – Mix of Long Days & Short Shifts Pay Rate: £32 per hour LTD (PAYE options available) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing (initial 12-week contract) Job Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join the Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLD) at South St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled RMN to take on a rewarding role within an acute hospital setting, providing mental health support to patients across various departments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments in acute and emergency care settings Provide expert advice and support to general medical and surgical staff Develop and implement individualized care plans Respond to psychiatric crises and conduct risk assessments Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external services Maintain accurate, professional documentation in line with NHS standardsRequirements: Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) Previous experience at Band 7 level or in a mental health liaison/crisis team role Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and effectively Full compliance required before placement (DBS, references, etc.)Benefits: Excellent hourly rate: £32 per hour LTD (PAYE options available) Flexible weekday shifts (mix of long days and short shifts) Work in a supportive and multidisciplinary hospital setting Opportunity to gain experience in a unique island NHS Trust Dedicated agency consultant support throughout the placementBenefits of Joining Service Care Solutions: £250 referral fee bonus for any health care professional you refer who we place in to work on a 3-month contract. £250 sign up bonus for any qualified professionals that register with our agency.
