Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (Red Seal)
- Diagnose and complete all repairs safely
and in accordance with company policies and manufacturer specifications. - Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and
electrical systems. - Test repaired equipment to ensure proper
performance. - Maintain accurate maintenance records and
work orders. - Communicate regularly with managers about
repair status and any concerns. - Work collaboratively with the maintenance
team to meet daily operational needs. - Mentor and guide junior maintenance staff
as required. - Recommend improvements to enhance
operational efficiency. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Red Seal Certification as a
Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic is required. - Valid driver's license is
required. - Experience in the waste
management or a similar heavy industrial environment is an asset. - Strong troubleshooting skills
with hydraulic and electrical systems. - Basic computer skills;
experience with online preventative maintenance programs is an asset. - Physically able to stand, lift
up to 40 lbs, bend, twist, and carry tools and parts for extended periods. - Effective verbal and written

Job Summary
Our Surrey Post Collection Plant plays
a vital role in managing large volumes of materials and promoting recycling and
sustainability in the region. We are currently looking to hire a Heavy-Duty
Equipment Mechanic / Earth Moving Equipment Mechanic for our Surrey
Post Collection Plant. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and
is responsible for safely and efficiently diagnosing and repairing facility
equipment.
