You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position requires a skilled operator who can navigate warehouse environments with precision and care. Your duties will include loading and unloading goods from trucks and trailers, transferring materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of your work area and the overall warehouse is paramount. We emphasize a strong commitment to Safety, and all forklift operators must adhere to strict operating procedures and regulations. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including safety vests, hard hats, and steel-toed boots as required. You will be expected to perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately. This role often involves significant Lifting and requires physical stamina and the ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced logistics environment. Teamwork and communication are key, as you'll collaborate with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and drivers to ensure seamless operations. Experience with different types of forklifts and warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
