Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of our warehouse inventory, which directly supports our logistics and distribution efforts. You will be responsible for a range of duties including conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, managing inventory records in our WMS, and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of inventory control within a logistics framework. Your expertise will help optimize stock levels and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory variances and discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify trends, and report on potential stock issues.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations and management to implement best practices for inventory control.
  • Develop and refine inventory tracking procedures.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and handling of all inventory items.
  • Generate comprehensive inventory reports for analysis and decision-making.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on inventory control procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics function.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a collaborative team member.
  • Capability for lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
