Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Manage inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficient logistics.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations, including proper PPE usage and safe lifting procedures.
- Train new staff on warehouse procedures, safety, and equipment operation.
- Liaise with other departments and external logistics partners.
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring all documentation is correct.
- Manage tasks that require significant lifting and ensure team adherence to safe lifting protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of logistics operations and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and experience enforcing them, including PPE protocols.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Must be capable of assessing and managing tasks involving heavy lifting.
