This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory, from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including counterbalance and reach trucks, to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage, and assist in order fulfillment. Safety is paramount in this position, and all operators must strictly adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements, including the consistent use of appropriate PPE. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to lifting protocols.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the overall logistics flow.
- Ensure that all movements of goods are conducted with precision to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
