Our Columbus, Ohio distribution center is looking for a diligent Inventory Control Specialist. This position is key to ensuring the accuracy of our inventory data, which is fundamental to efficient **logistics** operations. You will perform regular audits, reconcile inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to the implementation of improved inventory management strategies. A strong focus on **safety** and adherence to **PPE** protocols are critical in this role. Responsibilities:
- Execute cycle counting programs and physical inventory counts accurately.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the WMS/ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, and assist with reordering processes.
- Develop and refine inventory control procedures for enhanced accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all **safety** regulations and company policies.
- Train relevant personnel on inventory control procedures and **PPE** usage.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of goods.
- Assist with **lifting** and moving of inventory as required for counts and checks.
- Support the seamless operation of our **logistics** supply chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory control, preferably in a **logistics** or warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to **lift** up to 40 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** standards and **PPE**.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
