Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in Durham, North Carolina. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is pivotal to the smooth functioning of our warehouse and the overall logistics process. This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving materials within the facility, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. We uphold the highest standards of safety, and all operators must be certified, experienced, and strictly adhere to safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE. Your expertise ensures operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Move inventory to and from storage locations.
  • Stack and arrange goods according to established procedures.
  • Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
  • Engage in general warehouse duties when required, which may include lifting.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification required.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a logistics team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
