Our Omaha, Nebraska location is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to enhance our logistics operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. This includes conducting regular audits, managing stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to improve inventory accuracy. A meticulous approach and a commitment to safety are essential, as you will be working within a dynamic warehouse environment and must adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse using WMS.
- Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate receiving and shipping.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy and performance.
- Contribute to process improvements in inventory management and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all PPE guidelines.
