Job Summary:
Join our team in Des Moines, Iowa as an Inventory Control Specialist! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock errors. You'll work closely with warehouse operations and logistics teams to ensure that inventory data is precise and up-to-date, enabling efficient order fulfillment and replenishment. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and a keen eye for detail are essential for success. This position also requires a commitment to safety, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to all warehouse safety guidelines. Lifting of items may be required during audits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Track and manage inventory levels across multiple locations within the warehouse.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment for inventory verification and movement.
  • Work with the logistics team to ensure efficient receiving and put-away processes.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy and stock levels.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards in the inventory storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
