Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Safely stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all movements of goods are logged accurately for logistics tracking.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling techniques.
- Must be able to perform lifting and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, vests, and glasses.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
