Are you a skilled professional with a passion for maintaining warehouse operations? We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Technician to support our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of warehouse equipment and infrastructure. Your technical expertise will ensure the smooth and safe operation of our logistics processes. This includes troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with facility upkeep. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in warehouses is essential. We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain equipment logs and repair records.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Support inventory management and organization within the warehouse.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the warehouse facility.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
