About
Our bustling distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator. This position is vital to our internal logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials. A strong emphasis on safety and adherence to operational procedures is paramount. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be an integral part of our supply chain. Proper training and certification are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Stack and store inventory in designated areas.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Understand and follow all logistics and shipping/receiving procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a forklift (various types preferred).
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Familiarity with different types of PPE and their correct usage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills.
