About
Our dynamic logistics company is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at our busy Dallas, Texas facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure materials are properly staged for shipping and receiving, and maintain accurate inventory records. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure the smooth flow of goods and uphold our high standards of productivity and accuracy. This position requires precision and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store merchandise in appropriate locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Adhere to all weight limits and operating procedures.
- Must be comfortable performing tasks that involve lifting and moving heavy objects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and safety warnings.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
