About
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse facility in San Jose, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on supporting the logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring timely movement of goods within the facility and preparing them for shipment. This position requires a strong understanding of forklift operation safety protocols, the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and secure workspace. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move materials and inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers according to established procedures.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials, ensuring stability and safety.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and efficient logistics.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to accident prevention and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and shipping documents.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- A strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
