About
Seeking an experienced Forklift Operator in Atlanta, Georgia, to join our dedicated logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory within our expansive distribution center. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods, supporting all aspects of our supply chain. Safety is our highest priority; therefore, you must strictly adhere to all Safety guidelines, company policies, and consistently use all mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a keen awareness of your surroundings, excellent control, and a strong commitment to operational efficiency. You will collaborate with other warehouse professionals to maintain productivity and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Place and retrieve inventory accurately in designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Follow all Safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Employ proper Lifting techniques when necessary for manual tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards and wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
