About
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced *Automotive Mechanic* to join our busy workshop team. This role requires a professional who is proficient in complex diagnostics, maintenance, and major mechanical repairs, ensuring all work meets rigorous quality and time standards.
*Core Responsibilities*
* *Advanced Repairs:* Confidently perform and complete complex mechanical repairs, including:
* *Clutch replacements*
* *Cylinder head gasket repairs*
* *Timing belts, chains, and wet belts*
* *Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:* Accurately diagnose and address mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles.
* *Routine Maintenance:* Perform comprehensive routine maintenance tasks and services.
* *Inspections:* Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to proactively identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
* *Parts Management:* Repair and replace faulty parts and components efficiently and correctly.
* *Record Keeping:* Maintain accurate and organised records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
* *Time Management:* Must be able to confidently work in line with *Autodata repair time standards* to ensure efficiency and timely service delivery.
*Working Hours*
* *Monday - Friday:* 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* *Saturdays:* Alternate Saturdays are required.
*Requirements & SkillsEssential Requirements:*
* *Experience:* Minimum of *5 years of proven experience* as an Automotive Mechanic.
* *License:* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
*Key Skills:*
* *Technical Proficiency:* Expert proficiency in mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
* *Knowledge Base:* Strong knowledge of complex automotive systems and components.
* *Efficiency:* Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills, especially adhering to repair time schedules.
* *Teamwork:* Ability to work effectively both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
