We’re now seeking an experienced *Non-Executive Director* with proven expertise across *engineering, automation, and digital transformation* to join our Board.
This is not a compliance-focused role. It’s a hands-on opportunity to guide how Hewitt evolves its *operations and technology platform* for scale, reliability, and long-term performance.
*Key focus areas:*
* Providing strategic insight on plant design, automation, and capital projects to support scalability and efficiency.
* Guiding enterprise technology and digital transformation priorities that drive operational and commercial performance.
* Championing the integration of engineering and digital systems — connecting automation, ERP, and analytics.
* Advising on risk, governance, and investment decisions where technology and manufacturing intersect.
* Collaborating with the CEO, CFO, and operational leaders to align technology and engineering strategy with business growth.
*About you:*
You’ll be a former senior executive (COO, CTO, CDO, or Head of Engineering) who has led both operational and technology transformation in complex manufacturing environments ideally food, consumer goods, or other supply-chain-intensive industries.
You bring a commercial mindset, practical insight, and the ability to translate technical opportunities into business outcomes. You’re comfortable operating in a founder-led SME environment and thrive on working closely with leaders who are building something enduring.
*What you’ll bring:*
* Proven experience leading multi-site or large-scale manufacturing operations.
* Strong knowledge of automation, capital project delivery, and asset optimisation.
* Understanding of enterprise systems, digital enablement, and cyber risk.
* Collaborative, grounded leadership style a hands-on operator turned strategic advisor.
