The work: Designs, plans, engineers, and maintains classified network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business and program needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Key responsibilities include: Deploy, configure, and manage networking systems across all classified networking environments. Implement and maintain security controls, in accordance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guides) Monitor networking system operation, health, and performance; troubleshoot complex issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with program stakeholders to obtain networking requirements. Collaborate with cybersecurity to enforce security standards, respond to incidents, and support classified network requirements. Document configurations, procedures, and security implementations; provide clear communication and training to cross functional teams. The successful candidate will be a proactive, security focused engineer who can bridge the gap between network administration, network operations, and cybersecurity to sustain Lockheed Martin's high assurance classified networks. Please note: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. You will be a detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of network administration and engineering, able to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless integration and operation of Linux-based systems. Pay rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
