Job Overview
Under broad supervision, analyzes enterprise?wide customer business needs and participates in the planning, design, support and implementation of new or enhanced EHR systems that serves multiple state entities. Establishes standards and procedures to be used in the use and development of systems. Responsibilities
Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and support of HL7 standards. Manage and maintain EHR and practice management systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally and securely. Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinical staff, technical staff, program staff, administrators, and developers, to gather and document business requirements for the EHR system. Provide ongoing support for the EHR system, including managing updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data accuracy and security compliant with HIPAA standards. Collaborate with developers and administrators to resolve technical issues and enhance platform performance. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability. Provide technical support to end?users, by interfacing with vendor Support Teams to address issues related to software promptly. Assist trainers with training programs for clinic staff to ensure efficient use of the EHR system. Analyze clinical workflows and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement within the EHR system. Generate and analyze reports to support clinical and administrative decision?making. Provide advanced Windows troubleshooting and support for our software and cloud platform. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to understand their issues and provide timely solutions. Compose clear and detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators. Ensure the security of IT systems and data, adhering to best practices and company policies. Utilize available tools like REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation purposes. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong problem?solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in HL7 and IT security best practices is preferred. Customer?focused mindset with a commitment to providing high?quality support. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and supporting software applications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to explain technical issues to non?technical stakeholders effectively. Experience with issue?tracking software. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Availability to work on?call or during off?hours as needed to support hospital IT operations. Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem?solving. Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems. Experience with networking, including installation, configuration, and management of networks is preferred. Proficiency with ticketing systems like JIRA and Ivanti for issue tracking and ticket management. Understanding of IT security tools and protocols.
This is a GRANT FUNDED position and subject to available grant funds. Associate Degree and three (3) years of related experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level IT Enterprise Busi Anlyst 2 (ITP181) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Hospital IT or equally complex systems Minimum of 3?5 years of experience supporting EHR and Practice Management systems in a medical clinic or similar healthcare setting. Proven experience in system implementation, configuration, and support.
