We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our IT team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include configuring network equipment, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security. Essential Functions: Configure, and deploy network solutions based on business requirements. Set up and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Maintain equipment, inventory, IP schema's and network diagrams Implement security protocols, firewalls, and access controls Support ICD 503 Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) processes by patching, hardening, and/or upgrading systems as appropriate. Travel for this position can be up to 20% annually. Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 35 pounds across campus for various needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Active Top Secret/SCI CompTIA Security + CE Certification Preferred Additional Skills: CCNA or Network + Experience with DOD encryption devices. CompTIA A+ Certification. Self-motivated, able to switch tasks easily, work independently. Experience with the configuration and ability to manage Solarwinds. Strong troubleshooting skills.
