Sous Chef Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Albany Park. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, precise focus, and extensive culinary expertise.
This role requires dedication, passion, creativity, and the ability to persevere through challenging services while maintaining high standards.
As part of our culinary team, you will develop menu items for seasonal menus based on Persian cuisine. As a sous chef, you will create and deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests while expanding your culinary repertoire.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including:
- Maintaining inventory levels
- Auditing kitchen areas and staff for compliance with health codes
- Leading by example and maintaining a positive work environment
- Working under the guidance of the Executive Chef and leadership
- Daily maintenance of back-of-house systems, following procedures from AM walkthroughs to temp logs, line checks, prep lists, order guides, recipes, and more
- Collaborating with the Executive Chef and team to create new menu items seasonally, documenting recipes and plating for consistent replication
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a professional kitchen team member, with supervisory experience preferred
- Unwavering work ethic
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to take direction well and adapt priorities quickly and efficiently
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
