About
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our bustling San Francisco distribution center. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are crucial. You will play a key part in ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products. We prioritize a secure and healthy work environment, and all team members are expected to strictly follow safety protocols and utilize the necessary PPE. Strong teamwork and communication skills are vital for success in this role. The successful candidate will possess excellent physical stamina and the capacity for frequent lifting. We are committed to maintaining high standards in all aspects of our operations, especially concerning safety and efficient logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in appropriate locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Participate in team lifts when necessary and follow proper lifting techniques.
- Support overall logistics operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Proficient in lifting and moving heavy objects, with the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics processes.
