About
We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our cutting-edge logistics center in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials within our warehouse. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. You will be a key player in maintaining the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility. We are committed to providing a safe work environment, offering specialized training and mandating the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload pallets and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping docks.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and securely in designated locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient operations and meet logistical demands.
- Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of cargo.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE at all times.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
