About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy Boston, Massachusetts warehouse! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are transported correctly for receiving, storage, and shipping. You must possess excellent forklift operating skills, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team. Your role is vital in maintaining the flow of goods in our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport inventory between different warehouse zones.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Pick and stage orders for outbound shipments accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around loading docks and aisles.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed when not operating a forklift.
- Demonstrate proficiency in safe lifting and material handling practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong spatial awareness and coordination skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear and properly use all required PPE.
