About
Our rapidly growing logistics company in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking skilled Forklift Operators. This position is vital for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move inventory, load and unload trucks, and support overall warehouse operations. You must possess a strong understanding of Safety procedures and be committed to maintaining a secure work environment. Accuracy in handling and tracking materials is key. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to transport materials and products.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any issues.
- Move and organize inventory within the warehouse racking system.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly and clean warehouse environment.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Accurate documentation of material movements.
- Tasks may include regular Lifting of heavy items.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency with different types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting and physical dexterity.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and using all required PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
