Join our New York City team as a Reach Truck Operator! We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement and storage of goods within our facility using a reach truck. This role is critical for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and inventory management. You will be responsible for operating the reach truck at elevated heights, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining a safe work environment. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve products at various warehouse levels.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and procedures, especially when operating at heights.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional manual Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Mandatory use of appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification or license for operating reach trucks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Excellent spatial reasoning and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting.
- Dedication to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics is a plus.
