About
We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse operations in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming inventory, ensuring all goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented. This role plays a vital part in our supply chain logistics, ensuring that our inventory management systems are up-to-date and accurate. You will be responsible for checking deliveries against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any damages or shortages. A commitment to safety and accuracy is essential. This position offers a stable work environment and the chance to be an integral part of our logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding incoming shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or logistics is a plus.
- Familiarity with WMS and basic computer skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
