Join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California, as an Inventory Control Specialist. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies. Your attention to detail and systematic approach will ensure that our stock levels are accurate, which is crucial for efficient order fulfillment and overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Track the movement of inventory within the warehouse and document all transactions.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock rotation and put-away.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory adjustments, receipts, and shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and Safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed for inventory tasks.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, turnover, and other key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Safety procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
