About
We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our logistics hub in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure that materials are transported accurately and without damage. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, supporting both receiving and shipping departments. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations and from storage to shipping docks.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage and ensure stability.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including occasional Lifting of heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics setting and adhere to strict Safety protocols.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
