About
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our Sacramento, California distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting inventory throughout the warehouse. This critical role ensures the smooth flow of goods and uphms the integrity of our Logistics operations. A strong focus on Safety and proficiency with various forklift types is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of cargo.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and locations.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Participate in warehouse organization and clean-up efforts.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- This role requires physical dexterity and the ability to perform moderate Lifting when necessary, outside of forklift operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety best practices and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
