We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and supporting overall logistics. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain inventory integrity. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments. Strong communication skills are essential for reporting findings and recommending improvements to inventory management processes. Ensuring proper stock rotation and identifying obsolete or slow-moving inventory are also key responsibilities. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain and the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing inventory movements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and operations teams to manage inventory flow.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as Lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
