About
We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our vibrant logistics team in Miami, Florida. This role is critical for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our distribution center. The Reach Truck Operator will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Ensuring the safe and timely operation of the reach truck is paramount, along with maintaining a high level of accuracy and adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of the reach truck to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly placing and identifying stock.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all guidelines for safe lifting and equipment operation.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse storage areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with valid certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to safely maneuver equipment in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE requirements and safe operational procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Understanding of logistics operations and material flow.
