Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Place received items into appropriate storage locations and retrieve items for orders.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must pass a forklift skills assessment.
