We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our Cincinnati, Ohio team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials within our warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods, supporting our overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload cartons from trucks and trailers.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper handling techniques and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and other logistics support activities as needed.
- Ensure work areas are clear and safe for all personnel.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
