About
Join our logistics team in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a Shipping Clerk! This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying package contents, and maintaining shipment records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills, with a commitment to a safe and efficient shipping process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Verify package contents and quantities against shipping orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, freight companies) for pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and sealing.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers, shipping software, and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with carrier requirements and shipping regulations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform light lifting as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
