About
Our logistics facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our operations. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and entering received items into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming stock appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, shipping companies, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inspection.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds) and operate pallet jacks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
