Job Summary:
Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in Houston, Texas, and play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse facilities. This position requires a hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining equipment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity. Your contribution is essential to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the facility, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all staff.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety by identifying and reporting potential hazards.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar maintenance role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Certification in relevant equipment maintenance is a plus.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
  • Good communication skills.
