This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of our supply chain and supporting our operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers with speed and accuracy.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse racking systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing the necessary PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, contributing to a safe environment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as directed.
- Understand and follow all logistics documentation and operational procedures.
- Ensure efficient workflow and productivity within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve operational targets.
- Uphold a strong safety culture through consistent practice and awareness.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent situational awareness and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable with standing, walking, and operating machinery for long shifts.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of logistics operations and inventory control is highly desirable.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
