We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, ensuring efficient flow and organization of inventory. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and finished goods.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical equipment to transport materials.
- Stage materials for production, assembly, or shipping.
- Maintain an organized and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular checks of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures meticulously.
- Mandatory use of designated PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Perform frequent and heavy Lifting of materials, up to 60 lbs.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock checks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification or proven experience operating forklifts is essential.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and heavy Lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliability and a commitment to excellent work ethic.
- Willingness to consistently wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics processes and inventory control.
