We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Virginia Beach location! If you have experience operating forklifts and a strong commitment to safety, we want to hear from you. This position is crucial to our logistics and distribution operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and performing routine equipment checks to guarantee optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and containers.
- Transport products and materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Follow all established logistics procedures for material handling.
- Be prepared for regular lifting tasks as part of the overall warehouse duties.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet operational targets.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must consistently wear required PPE.
