We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Houston, Texas. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including managing staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our logistics center. You will play a critical role in implementing operational strategies, driving performance metrics, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for your team. Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage shipping schedules and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing and transportation, to ensure smooth logistics.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, safety, and operational updates.
- Address employee concerns and resolve operational issues effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and risk management.
- Ability to manage physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
