We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in San Diego, California. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical for managing our high-density storage systems and ensuring timely movement of goods throughout the warehouse. You will work closely with the warehouse team to fulfill orders, manage inventory, and maintain operational flow. A strong commitment to Safety, precision in operation, and the ability to navigate complex warehouse layouts are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with precision.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, including high-level racking.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the Warehouse Management System.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking and packing.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including moderate Lifting and bending.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and reaction time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must wear all required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
