Join our team as a Picker/Packer in San Francisco, California! This role is essential for our logistics and fulfillment operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting .
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory shelves based on customer orders.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure correct quantities.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, using appropriate packing materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for outgoing transport.
- Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Perform regular checks of inventory accuracy.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and perform frequent bending and reaching.
- Comfortable with lifting and moving packages up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear and maintain all required PPE .
- Basic computer skills for using WMS and scanners are a plus.
