We are seeking a diligent and versatile Warehouse Associate to join our team in Washington, D.C. As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks integral to the smooth operation of our facility, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. This role requires a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be an essential part of our logistics chain, ensuring that products are handled efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming merchandise, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order requirements.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
