Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper placement and tracking.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including those related to forklift operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA certification).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional moderate Lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
