Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any discrepancies or issues immediately.
- Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for appropriate put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn and maintained.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a related logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including WMS software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
