We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our crucial logistics operations in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. Your expertise is vital to our supply chain, ensuring timely and secure handling of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Inspect forklifts daily for safety and operational issues, reporting any defects.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper lifting techniques and load stability.
- Organize and stage materials in designated areas.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment. Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding setting. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. A commitment to safety, including the consistent use of appropriate PPE, is non-negotiable. This role is fundamental to our logistics efficiency.
